So this week I’m doing a 60 hour water fast.
Last week I did a 36 hour water fast and found it super easy so I thought I’d up it again this week to help boost my performance, recovery, immune system etc.
Especially leading into Winter, I want to make sure I am as strong as possible physically and mentally so I can manage the seasonal changes ahead.
The seasonal changes always help us to grow, however it’s also up to us to strengthen ourselves so we can cope positively with these changes.
The majority of people do not prioritise their health and wellbeing and will therefore be at the mercy of the seasons, often falling sick and generally struggling with life.
For those not familiar with fasting, it simply means not eating for a period of time and only drinking water.
However, for this fast I have decided to have some Organic, Home Grown Celery Juice once per day, mixed in with some fresh lemon.
I’m halfway through this current 60 hour fast as we speak and I’m feeling incredibly energised, focused and clear.
Disclaimer: Fasting is healthy for most people, however I do not recommend people with eating disorders try fasting.
If you have a poor relationship with food and are susceptible to binge eating then fasting may be tough for you mentally and could lead to more mental health problems. So be really careful.
If you’re going to try fasting, check with your trusted Health Professional and ensure your mental health is fairly stable before commencing.
When we fast the body starts the process of consuming and eating all the junk/toxins that exist within our body.
Cancer patients do especially well with fasting because when we restrict food from the body the body will eat any cancerous growths or tumours.
Therefore fasting is a very beneficial exercise to help prevent the development of Cancer before it becomes a problem.
Loads of benefits of fasting.
I read a great book about 15 years ago called Man 2.0 by John Romaniello and Adam Bornstein which goes into the science in great detail.
