Zazen Fitness

Zazen Fitness is a small local business located in the beautiful historic town of Ballarat.

Headed by Founder Ash Bedford, Zazen Fitness aims to help educate and empower local people to manage their Health and Wellbeing effectively and easily using proven scientific methods.

Ash brings more than 15 years experience in the Health and Fitness Industry as well as a wide range of therapeutic modalities.

Ash has extensive experience working as a Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Yoga Teacher, Nutrition Coach, Meditation Teacher and Counsellor/Mentor.

Ash has also branched out in the past few years helping to heal people on a deep level through his work with whole plant, full spectrum CBD oils.

Ash is currently seeing clients at Elements Health and Fitness, Ballarat and is also available for Private Coaching and Yoga sessions at his private Yoga/Office space in Alfredton.




Ash Bedford

My name is Ash Bedford and I’m passionate about helping others to maximise their fullest potential physically, mentally and spiritually. As a husband, father of 2 young boys and a business owner, I am very aware of the enormous challenges that we face in the world today and feel deeply called to the work that I do.

When it comes down to it, I simply enjoy holding space for people and guiding them towards the practices that serve them best in that particular moment. 

My coaching style is very simplistic yet highly effective and has been proven over a long period of time. I enjoy building a deep connection with my clients to gain the full understanding required to help them break through physical and mental barriers.

In terms of managing Health and Wellbeing I help people in the following ways. Teaching and reminding people about proper breathing mechanics, helping people to find the most appropriate movement practice that helps them get strong and more flexible whilst avoiding injury, teaching people how to quiet the mind through yoga and meditation practices, deep healing through work with sacred medicines and private counselling/mentorship.

I look forward to catching up with you in 2023 to help you be supported in the way that you need.

My hobbies include anything involving nature. I love gardening and grow large amounts of organic produce at my home in Ballarat. I enjoy getting down the coast for a cheeky surf, sitting in ceremony with sacred medicines, reading personal development books, learning about Indigenous knowledge and practicing regular yoga and meditation.
